Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea in 1989, I moved to Melbourne, Australia in 2010 during my Bachelor of Fine Arts studies. In Melbourne, I was introduced to the world of tattooing and had the opportunity to learn the craft within its dynamic tattoo scene. This experience sparked a deep passion for tattooing, and in 2014, I officially began my career as a professional tattoo artist in Melbourne.
Since then, I’ve expanded my artistic perspective by working as a guest artist in various cities, including Sydney, Toronto, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Seoul, and Singapore. These experiences have greatly enriched both my craft and creative vision.
Today, I work from my private studio, Mid City Tattoo, located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
My tattoo style is characterised by a harmonious blend of natural and floral elements, with influences from Eastern art traditions such as Korean Minhwa, Japanese ukiyo-e, and Chinese gong-bi painting. I enjoy combining traditional tattoo motifs with these inspirations, embracing new ideas and creative approaches. Using delicate lines and soft black and grey shading, I craft each design to follow the body’s natural flow and shape, aiming to express the wearer’s unique identity.
